Places of interest
In South Tyrol you will find a large variety of tourist attractions. Below only a small selection:
The "Lodenwelt" at Vintl/Vandoies is a factory and a museum, rolled into one to offer a full immersion into the world of loden. The 3,000 m² large Lodenwelt premises also accommodate a souvenir shop and the Lodenwirt restaurant, where you can crown your tour with a tasty South Tyrolean meal.
The Capriz dairy is also located in Vintl/Vandoies and includes a museum, an outlet and a bistro with wine bar. Capriz specialises in the production of finest artisan goat’s cheese.
In the "Lodenwelt" there are also some other shops. For example, Optics Demenego, where you can find beautiful glasses at good prices.
Messner Mountain Museum Corones
MMM Corones, situated on the summit plateau of Kronplatz (2,275 m), is dedicated to traditional mountaineering, which has strongly influenced – and has been strongly influenced by – Reinhold Messner. The museum is devoted to mountain history and also offers unique views of the great mountain walls of the Dolomites and the Alps.
