In South Tyrol you will find a large variety of tourist attractions. Below only a small selection:

Rodengo Castle

The impressive Rodengo Castle towers high above the Rienza river. Especially his famous "Iwein" frescoes are worth a look.

Gitschberg Viewing Platform

The viewing platform at Gitschberg, near Maranza/Meransen, in the Gitschberg Jochtal Almen Region, offers a spectacular panoramic view of over 500 peaks, including many three-thousanders.

Lodenwelt Vintl/Vandoies

The "Lodenwelt" at Vintl/Vandoies is a factory and a museum, rolled into one to offer a full immersion into the world of loden. The 3,000 m² large Lodenwelt premises also accommodate a souvenir shop and the Lodenwirt restaurant, where you can crown your tour with a tasty South Tyrolean meal.

The Capriz dairy is also located in Vintl/Vandoies and includes a museum, an outlet and a bistro with wine bar. Capriz specialises in the production of finest artisan goat’s cheese.

In the "Lodenwelt" there are also some other shops. For example, Optics Demenego, where you can find beautiful glasses at good prices.

Messner Mountain Museum Ripa

MMM Ripa is part of a six-centered encounter with the mountains. Reinhold Messner has chosen Bruneck Castle to present mountain peoples from Asia, Africa, South America and Europe, and to reflect on their cultures, religions and tourism activities.

Messner Mountain Museum Corones

MMM Corones, situated on the summit plateau of Kronplatz (2,275 m), is dedicated to traditional mountaineering, which has strongly influenced – and has been strongly influenced by – Reinhold Messner. The museum is devoted to mountain history and also offers unique views of the great mountain walls of the Dolomites and the Alps.

Museum of Folk Traditions in Dietenheim

The Museum of Folk Traditions in Dietenheim shows the life of the rural population in pre-industrial times, from the landed gentry to the self-sustaining peasants and the day labourers.
